Crème brûlée

Pre-heat oven at 350 F

Place your set of bath in the oven pans so the water will be hot enough to cook the crème brûlée.



Mixture 1

7 yolks

¾ cup sugar

Mix them all together

Mixture 2

1 vanilla vanilla pod

20 oz heavy whipping cream


Cut the vanilla pod in two. Scrape the beans with a knife and put it in the cream.

Heat the cream in a pan (do not burn it!)


Mix and stir mixture 1 and 2.

Pour in the crème brulée dishes.

Carefully place them in the intended bath in the oven.

Let cook for 15/20mn


Let cool down.

Pour brown sugar on the top of your crème brulée. Make it melt with a torch.

Note: For some reason, I never managed to make my american brown sugar properly melt and harden because it’s too humid. Because it’s easier I brought mine back from France but I am sure you can find good ones here.
